OPEN TASK 2
I extended one of images from my [Siteworks II] work to produce a gif.
I am in love with the 1960s and 70s minimalism and conceptual art movement, and I find a lot of my views of art influenced by the attitudes of that time.
For example, right after my first studio session in week 1, I felt very passionate and dramatic about art and wrote myself a manifesto-type list of 'rules' for my art:

PHOTOSHOP II
A digital reinterpretation of Task 1 (Sound to Image)

Photoshop Task II

Sound to Image

Photoshop Task II
1/2
Because of all the edges and lines in the photograph of the original 'sound to image' work, I started off using the magnetic tool to travel around the photo, and let it select whatever it wanted to. I then colour inverted some selected sections. Then, I tried applying colour filters and realised the more layers of filters I apply, the more the lines corrode. I used this on another selected area. For the background, I colour matched the corroded bit.
This image has a more organic feel to it than the original, like a dry leaf. The colour inverted bits look like microscopic images.
