OPEN TASK 2
I extended one of images from my [Siteworks II] work to produce a gif.
I am in love with the 1960s and 70s minimalism and conceptual art movement, and I find a lot of my views of art influenced by the attitudes of that time.
For example, right after my first studio session in week 1, I felt very passionate and dramatic about art and wrote myself a manifesto-type list of 'rules' for my art:

EXTENSION TO 4 HOUR TASK

I responded to the 4-hour task with a 3D-printed die, with the following factors in mind:
- Because the grid was digitally produced, I wanted to use an automated/machine method to produce a cube.
- I used a pre-designed template to create the die because the process of printing was more relevant and important to the work than the design.
- The cubed shape of a die is the perfect 3 dimensional representation of the square of the grid.
- A die can be associated with random chance, data and combination of data, which relates to the nature of the previous work.
- The mechanical process of manually recording number plates (in previous work) was emulated in this work through the movement of the mechanical hand of the 3D printer.
- The visible layers in the die, so distinctly of the 3D printing process, is an indication of passing time, which was one of the central themes of the previous work.
